Every year around June the hydrilla starts to take over the lake and the water temp gets hot and one of the best ways to catch big bass is in submerged hydrilla 4-7 feet with anything you can swim through it weedless, such as a Skinny Dipper, Gambler Big E-Z, or my personal favorite, Zoom Magnum Speed Worm. I typically use a 1/8 bullet weight but will very depending on thickness of grass, depth, and wind. Went out on June 2nd, 2020 with my buddy Dennis and caught this 9 pound 14 ouncer mid day during a “kind of storm.” It never gets old!
